Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Description – Senior Quality Engineer We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join a major Cross Country Pipeline Project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all pipeline construction and installation activities comply with approved project specifications, international standards, client requirements, and the project Quality Management System. Desired Candidate Profile Key Responsibilities Implement and monitor the project Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) program for cross-country pipeline construction activities. Review and ensure compliance with approved ITPs, Method Statements, Quality Plans, specifications and inspection procedures. Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, subcontractors, client and consultant teams on quality-related matters. Monitor pipeline construction activities including trenching, stringing, welding, NDT, coating, lowering, backfilling, hydrotesting and reinstatement. Review welding and NDT documentation, inspection reports, material certificates and quality records. Conduct inspections and ensure that all activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures and applicable codes and standards. Identify quality issues, raise and follow up NCRs, observations and corrective/preventive actions until satisfactory closure. Participate in internal, client and third-party quality audits and inspections. Monitor subcontractor and supplier quality performance and ensure compliance with project requirements. Maintain and review Quality Control Records, inspection reports, test reports, dossiers and turnover documentation. Ensure proper implementation of project specifications and applicable international standards such as API, ASME, ISO and relevant pipeline codes. Provide technical guidance to QA/QC Inspectors and construction teams. Prepare quality reports, statistics and other documentation required by project management and the client. Support final Mechanical Completion, Pre-Commissioning and Handover activities from a quality perspective. Candidate Requirements Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering or relevant technical discipline. 12 – 15+ years of relevant QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas, preferably in cross-country pipeline projects. Strong experience in pipeline construction quality control and inspection. Good knowledge of pipeline welding, NDT, coating, hydrotesting and associated construction activities. Familiarity with international codes, standards and client specifications. Strong experience in quality documentation, NCR management and audit coordination. UAE/GCC project experience will be an advantage. Good communication and coordination skills.
