Tele‐control / SCADA Technicians (for Water Control System)
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Coordination with contractors, consultants, and Kahramaa departments for all commissioning activities. Conducts commissioning and testing activities for the Water Control System Install and maintain PLC panels, RTUs, and SCADA field devices. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance. Assist in commissioning, FAT/SAT, and site testing. Assist in reviewing technical documentation, as‐built drawings, P&ID, control logic, SCADA architecture. Support integration of new equipment into existing SCADA/control systems. Maintain records, logs, and maintenance reports. Provide first‐line troubleshooting and escalate major issues to engineers. Prepare the spare parts list and conduct the inspection. Desired Candidate Profile General Requirements: Support operation and maintenance of SCADA, PLC, RTU, and control systems. Perform installation, wiring, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of field devices and control systems. Work under the supervision of Tele‐control and SCADA Engineers. Comply with safety, cybersecurity, and utility regulations. Interview: Must pass an authorization interview and qualify as an Authorized person. Work schedule: [e.g., 8 hrs./day, 5 days a week, with emergency call‐out support]. Qualifications & Experience: Qualifications: Diploma / Technical Certification in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Automation. Experience: 4+ years’ hands‐on experience in SCADA/PLC/RTU/automation systems (preferably water/wastewater). Practical skills in PLC/RTU panel wiring, I/O testing, loop checking and solar panels. Experience with PLC/RTU troubleshooting (ABB, Siemens, Schneider, …etc.). Knowledge of field instrumentation (flow meters, level sensors, pressure transmitters, water quality analyzers). Experience with SCADA/HMI operation. Understanding of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC‐UA, Profibus, Ethernet,etc.). Ability to read electrical drawings, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams. Understanding in commissioning, FAT/SAT, and O&M support. Soft Skills: Good communication & reporting skills (English required; Arabic is a plus). Ability to follow procedures and instructions. Willingness to work in field environments (pumping stations, plants, remote sites).
