Senior Accountant (Chartered) (Government)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Manage and oversee the General Ledger and ensure accurate financial records. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor financial performance and provide management with strategic financial insights. Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and applicable UAE regulations. Support senior management with financial analysis, reporting, and decision-making. Previous experience working with government entities or semi-government organizations is highly preferred but not mandatory. Experience in managing audits, statutory compliance, and financial reporting for large organizations will be an advantage. Desired Candidate Profile Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory. Minimum 10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience. Strong expertise in: General Ledger (GL) accounting Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Financial Reporting Budgeting and Forecasting Auditing and Internal Controls Financial Statement Preparation Sound knowledge of IFRS and UAE financial regulations. Proficient in ERP accounting systems and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
