Project Lead – Catalyst

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the execution of catalyst handling, shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance projects within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, and Industrial Services sectors. Support the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and delivering projects safely, efficiently, and within approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements. Provide leadership and direction to site teams, including supervisors, technicians, operators, and support personnel, to ensure successful project execution. Develop project execution plans, work schedules, resource deployment plans, and site coordination strategies in collaboration with project and planning teams. Coordinate mobilization of manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to ensure project readiness and timely commencement of activities. Monitor daily site activities, productivity, progress, and resource utilization to ensure alignment with project milestones and client expectations. Identify project risks, operational challenges, and potential delays while implementing effective mitigation and recovery actions. Prepare and review project progress reports, manpower reports, productivity updates, and operational performance reports for management and clients. Act as the key site contact for client representatives, ensuring effective communication, issue resolution, and maintaining positive working relationships. Conduct regular coordination meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to review progress, priorities, and project requirements. Ensure all project activities are performed in accordance with approved procedures, technical specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. Support quality control activities, including inspection processes, documentation review, and closure of non-conformances. Monitor project costs, manpower utilization, equipment usage, and productivity to support budget control and operational efficiency. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and improved project execution methods. Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, client safety requirements, permit-to-work systems, and applicable industry standards. Promote a strong safety culture by leading toolbox talks, safety initiatives, and proactive hazard identification across project activities. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, work records, manpower tracking, and project close-out documentation. Support lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance future project delivery. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline. PMP Certification or equivalent project management qualification is an advantage. Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, or Industrial Services projects. Proven experience supporting or managing shutdown, turnaround, maintenance, and catalyst handling projects. Experience coordinating large site teams and managing project activities in operational facilities. Strong understanding of project execution processes, planning, scheduling, and resource management. Experience using project planning tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software. Good knowledge of catalyst handling, mechanical maintenance, industrial cleaning, and shutdown execution activities. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under shutdown and turnaround pressure. Knowledge of HSE standards, permit-to-work systems, quality requirements, and industrial safety practices. GCC project experience within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Refinery, or Industrial Maintenance environments is highly preferred.
