Assistant Manager -Packing & Lashing

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Plan and supervise packing, lashing, blocking, bracing and cargo-securing activities. Coordinate project cargo preparation for road, sea and multimodal transportation. Assess cargo dimensions, weight and handling requirements and recommend suitable securing methods. Supervise on-site operations and ensure compliance with HSE and cargo-securing standards. Coordinate with clients, project teams, transporters, warehouses, shipping lines and subcontractors. Manage manpower, equipment and packing/lashing materials. Conduct cargo inspections and maintain packing, lashing and operational documentation. Prepare reports, checklists and photographic records. Assist with quotations, cost estimation and project planning. Monitor schedules, quality and subcontractor performance. Resolve operational issues and provide regular updates to management. Desired Candidate Profile Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Maritime or related field. 2–4 years of relevant experience in packing, lashing, cargo securing, freight forwarding or project logistics. Experience with project cargo, heavy-lift and OOG/ODC cargo is highly preferred. Practical knowledge of cargo securing, blocking, bracing and lashing methods. Strong site-supervision and team-management skills. Good knowledge of UAE logistics and HSE requirements.
