Smart City Systems Specialist

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Smart City Enablement Translate smart city solution requirements into performance and functional specifications. Ensure alignment between smart city platforms, applications, and field-level connectivity. Identify optimum locations for field sensors, gateways, and edge devices, ensuring reliable network integration. Coordinate, review and validate ICT designs to enable Smart City solutions. Ensure ICT and communication designs comply with GCC telecom regulatory authorities and national ICT policies. Coordinate with licensed telecom operators for connectivity approvals and integration. Support regulatory submissions, approvals, and compliance documentation. Consulting & Stakeholder Management Act as a trusted systems advisor to Internal teams and clients Support technical workshops, design reviews, and stakeholder alignment sessions. Provide clear technical guidance to non-technical decision-makers. Coordinate with smart city solution architects, ICT & security designers and telecom operators. Systems Design and Validation Work closely with Other Parsons Disciplines or on-ground field teams during design and implementation planning Define connectivity requirements for smart city use cases including IoT sensors, surveillance, mobility, utilities, environment, and public safety. Review and assure network designs covering fiber, wireless, and IoT connectivity. Ensure designs are scalable, resilient, secure, and future-ready. Ensure smooth transition from implementation to operations. WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING: Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or related engineering field. More than 5 years of experience in systems engineering, ICT, communication networks or smart city related roles. Experience supporting smart city, digital infrastructure or IoT-based projects.
