Project Engineer – Construction | Sharjah, UAE

On behalf of our client, a leading construction/engineering company in the UAE, we're looking for a Project Engineer to be the technical backbone of a growing site team. You'll work closely under the Project Manager, bridging the gap between design intent and what actually gets built on site. What you'll own — day-to-day technical execution: Technical & Design Coordination Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and shop drawings Flag design discrepancies and raise RFIs (requests for information) to consultants Prepare and review method statements and inspection & test plans (ITPs) Site Execution & Quality Daily site presence to monitor work progress against drawings and specs Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and snag/defect tracking Ensure work complies with approved method statements and safety procedures Coordination & Communication Liaise daily with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and the site team Coordinate material deliveries, submittals, and approvals with procurement Support the Project Manager in progress reporting and meetings Documentation Maintain site records, daily reports, inspection logs, and as-built documentation Track project documentation through to handover and closeout

Desired Candidate Profile

What you bring: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline 3–5 years of relevant experience in engineering/construction project execution Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant engineering software Comfortable reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications independently Strong coordination and communication skills across consultants, contractors, and site teams English fluency required; Hindi or Arabic is a bonus, not a must What's in it for you: AED 5,000–10,000/month, based on experience Employment visa + medical insurance provided 30 days annual leave One return ticket home after completing your first year Schedule: 6 days a week, Sundays off.
