Senior Software Quality Control Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities About the Role We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Software Quality Engineer to join our team in Cairo. In this dual Manager/Advisor capacity, you will not only lead quality initiatives but also guide engineering teams toward best practices. You will be the champion of product excellence, ensuring our software meets the highest standards of reliability, performance, and security. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work remotely while collaborating in our Cairo office. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies and test plans. Manage and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Advise cross-functional teams (Development, Product, DevOps) on risk mitigation and test automation. Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and API services. Drive the adoption of shift-left testing principles, integrating quality early in the development lifecycle. Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and drive process improvements. Establish and track key quality metrics (KPIs) to measure product health and team effectiveness. Desired Candidate Profile 7+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or advisory role. Deep expertise in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI). Strong programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#). Proven experience with API testing (REST, GraphQL) and performance testing (JMeter, k6). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach. Fluent in English with outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
