Senior Java Developer

The Senior Java Developer is responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining CR2 s BankWorld product. This role involves designing and implementing high-quality software solutions, integrating AI/LLM capabilities where appropriate, contributing to new business requirements, and maintaining existing functionality within a collaborative Scrum team environment. This role is based in either our Amman or Bangalore office and follows a hybrid working model, with employees expected to work on-site three days per week. Key Responsibilities Design and implementation: Design and implement new features, ensuring alignment with business requirements, technical specifications, security practices, and project timelines. Agile development and team collaboration: Actively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and work closely with team members to achieve project goals and deliverables. Code quality and review: Ensure adherence to software design best practices, participate in design and code reviews, and proactively suggest improvements to processes and practices. Product security: Follow sound security engineering practices to protect the integrity and security of the product. Support and troubleshooting: Assist in maintaining and supporting new and existing features by working with the support team to diagnose and resolve issues promptly. Innovation and continuous learning: Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and integrate new solutions to enhance user experience and product functionality. Out-of-hours support: Provide occasional out-of-hours support for critical product issues when required. Additional tasks: Perform any other related tasks assigned by the line manager. Generative AI for development : Leverage AI-assisted coding tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Junie, Claude AI and any other tools identified by our architecture team to accelerate development while maintaining code quality standards; document and review AI-generated solutions for security and correctness. AI-powered testing and automation : Explore and implement AI-driven testing frameworks and agents for automated QA, regression testing, and edge-case discovery in payment processing pipelines.
