Senior Electrical Project Manager

Madarek Engineering Group is seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Senior Electrical Project Manager with a solid EPC background and a proven track record in managing large-scale, technically complex projects. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the electrical scope from engineering and procurement through construction, testing & commissioning, and final handover, with responsibility for programme, cost, quality, resources, and overall project delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead the complete electrical scope from engineering and procurement through construction, testing & commissioning, and handover. Take ownership of project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, cost control, progress, and overall project performance. Develop, maintain, and control project programmes using Primavera P6, including baselines, critical path, resource planning, look-ahead schedules, progress updates, delay analysis, and recovery programmes. Provide technical leadership for MV/LV distribution, transformers, generators, UPS, ATS, switchgear, power distribution, lighting, ELV systems, earthing, and lightning protection. Coordinate electrical interfaces with mechanical, architectural, civil, ICT/ELV, and specialist systems, resolving technical issues before they affect execution. Manage the engineering-to-procurement interface, including BOQs, specifications, technical evaluations, material submittals, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors. Monitor long-lead equipment through technical approval, manufacturing, delivery, installation, and commissioning. Lead site execution, subcontractors, resources, quality, inspections, and multidisciplinary coordination. Lead testing & commissioning, system integration, snagging, and final handover. Coordinate directly with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and internal project teams. Identify technical, programme, procurement, contractual, and execution risks early and implement practical corrective and recovery measures.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager on major projects. Proven experience in large-scale EPC, MEP, hospitality, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects. Proven track record of managing projects end-to-end, from engineering and procurement through execution, testing & commissioning, and handover. Excellent hands-on technical knowledge of electrical power and building systems. Advanced hands-on proficiency in Primavera P6, including baseline development, critical path analysis, resource planning, progress monitoring, delay analysis, and recovery planning. Solid experience in project planning, cost control, procurement, subcontract management, construction methodology, and project sequencing. Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams, specialist subcontractors, and major equipment packages, with strong decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Good understanding of contracts, variations, delays, project reporting, and claims-related documentation. Excellent command of English. Preferred Qualifications PMP or equivalent certification, with practical application of PMI methodologies. Previous project experience in the GCC.
