IT PMO - Portfolio Lead

Drive a change in the ways of working by building strong relationships and networks with managers, executives and other key stakeholders to transform the traditional PMO into a Lean PMO and lead the move to objective milestones and Lean budgeting principles. Act as a communication and advisory liaison regarding strategy and ensure strong collaboration and partnership between PMO and Product Delivery Managers and Product Delivery heads (VPs) in delivering the promises made to the business. Serve as a central point of contact for assigned internal and external communications. Develop and implement a consistent PMO methodology and approach for maintaining schedule, resources, budget and metrics for managing project performance to defined goals. This includes driving consistent processes and practices that are being adopted and championed across the portfolio. Participate in central portfolio chapter activities to define processes, templates, and tools configuration and coach team members on specific topics. Contribute toward helping define and achieve the agreed objectives and key results for PMO and Technical Product Portfolio and Delivery Management capability. Measure overall project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Ensure project status reports, schedules, costs, resources, issues and risks are tracked accurately and according to standard. Manage project change in accordance with the Project Management Office change management process governance guidelines to control scope, quality, schedule, cost, benefits, and contracts. Drive transparency by enabling faster and more informed decision-making through higher visibility of data and data-driven insights. This would include accurate and timely reporting of investment performance and timely and accurate communications (e.g. guidelines, governance decisions/process) to stakeholders. Work on implementing and improving tools and supporting processes in conjunction with the new ways of working and implementing lean and agile governance. Play an active role in the preparation of the annual budget and the capacity plans and tracking expenditure and recovery of costs on an ongoing basis.

Desired Candidate Profile

Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Information Technology. 5+ years of experience in portfolio/programme management office supporting CMMi for traditional and SAFe (or equivalent framework) for lean delivery models. Knowledge/

• Provides IT PMO support for the Business Portfolio/Large Programme in connecting Portfolio to Enterprise strategy, maintaining a portfolio roadmap, supporting Lean Budget process & finance process, measuring portfolio performance, and coordinating compliance
• Maintains initiative data in PPM tool (Planview) to support real-time dashboards and reports
• Maintains focus on the delivery of value and benefits from Portfolio Roadmap
• Provides hands-on operational support to the Portfolio Team
• Demonstrated experience in supporting Stakeholder and Project team management at various levels of seniority
• Knowledge of project management practices (such as Project Management Institute) is preferred
• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English, negotiation skills, and ability to interact with all levels in the organisation
• Strong analytical abilities and computer literacy skills
• Knowledgeable in MS Office Applications
• Project management methods & tools like Planview, JIRA, relationship management, people management, business change management, and process improvement skills
