Sales Manager
Job Overview
Position Summary The Sales Representative will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business relationships and maintaining existing accounts within the construction sector. This role requires a hunter-mentality to identify project opportunities, coupled with the consultative skills to provide technical solutions on the job site. You will act as the bridge between our product catalog and the client’s project needs. Key Responsibilities 1. Business Development & Revenue Growth · Prospect and secure new commercial accounts, including General Contractors, Subcontractors, and Developers. · Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales quotas and gross margin targets. · Identify upcoming construction projects (commercial, residential, and industrial) through plan rooms, bidding networks, and site visits. · Generate accurate quotes and bids based on project blueprints and material take-offs. 2. Account Management & Client Retention · Manage a portfolio of existing accounts; conduct regular site visits and check-ins to ensure satisfaction and repeat business. · Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules to close deals while protecting company profitability. · Resolve client issues regarding product delivery, quality, or performance with urgency. 3. Technical Consultation · Provide product recommendations based on the client’s structural requirements and environmental conditions. · Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure products meet safety codes and building regulations. · Conduct product demonstrations. 4. Market Intelligence & Reporting · Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations. · Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline management in the CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). · Attend industry trade shows, association meetings, and networking events. Experience
Minimum of 2 years of outside B2B sales experience, specifically within the construction, building materials, or energy industries is preferred. ·
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Equivalent field experience will be considered. Skills & Competencies: · Blueprint Literacy: Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and schematics. · Math Aptitude: Strong ability to perform material quantity take-offs and cost calculations. · Closing

- Proven ability to overcome objections and close deals in a competitive bidding environment. · Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; comfortable presenting to both the C-suite and on-site foremen. · Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook) and CRM software
