Research and Development Specialist (R&D Specialist)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Develop and follow up on new products from the ideation stage through to commercial launch. Search for, contact, and manage relationships with local and international suppliers and manufacturers. Prepare and review technical specifications for both finished products and raw materials. Analyze pricing and costs, and prepare comparative reports and feasibility studies. Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing, payment terms, and commercial conditions. Monitor product sampling, conduct sensory evaluations, and handle final product approvals. Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure project execution aligns with set timelines. Monitor product performance across branches, analyzing sales data and turnover rates. Monitor stock levels and propose supply chain and reordering plans. Monitor product quality and resolve any operational or developmental issues. Study the market and competitors to identify and propose new product development opportunities. Prepare periodic reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to product performance. Coordinate with various departments to ensure successful product launches and achieve commercial targets. Desired Candidate Profile Fluency in English (spoken and written). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proven ability to analyze data and prepare reports. Excellent organizational, project management, and follow-up skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Prior experience in product development, procurement, supply chain, or the F&B and FMCG sectors.
