Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The QHSE Officer supports the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of quality, health, safety, and environmental standards across the commercial laundry operation. The role ensures safe and consistent operations while maintaining compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and applicable UAE laws and regulations. Quality Management Monitor and inspect laundry processes to ensure compliance with approved procedures, quality standards, and customer specifications. Investigate complaints and nonconformities, coordinate corrective actions, and support audits, supplier evaluations, document control, and continuous improvement of the QHSE management system. Health & Safety Conduct workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify and control hazards related to machinery, chemicals, heat, manual handling, contaminated linen, vehicles, and other laundry operations. Monitor safety procedures, PPE, emergency preparedness, training, and incident reporting while ensuring corrective actions and fire and life-safety requirements are properly maintained and closed. Environmental Management Monitor resource consumption, waste management, and environmental controls to reduce waste and minimize the laundry operation’s environmental impact. Ensure compliance with wastewater, emissions, chemical storage, spill prevention, and other applicable environmental requirements, including proper response and corrective action for environmental incidents. Compliance & Administration Maintain QHSE documentation, registers, inspections, certifications, permits, training records, and action trackers while monitoring statutory requirements for equipment and facility systems. Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, clients, and authorities, prepare monthly QHSE reports and trend analysis, and exercise stop-work authority where immediate and serious risks are identified. Desired Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have a degree or diploma in QHSE, HSE, environmental science, engineering, chemistry, quality management, or a related field, with NEBOSH/IOSH and ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 training preferred. A minimum of 2–4 years’ relevant QHSE experience, preferably in commercial or industrial laundry, along with knowledge of UAE regulatory requirements, good English communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and QHSE systems is required.
