Project Manager - Catalyst

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Lead and manage the Catalyst & Mechanical Services Division, ensuring the safe, efficient, and profitable execution of shutdown, turnaround, maintenance, and specialized industrial service projects. Provide strategic leadership for catalyst handling, reactor services, mechanical maintenance, tower internals, vessel entry, and other specialized services across oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, LNG, and industrial facilities. Plan, manage, and oversee multiple projects to ensure successful delivery within scope, schedule, budget, quality, and contractual requirements. Develop operational strategies to improve productivity, optimize resource utilization, and achieve business growth objectives. Manage project budgets, revenue, cost control, profitability, and gross margin while driving operational excellence. Lead manpower planning, mobilization, equipment allocation, and subcontractor management to ensure efficient project execution. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, EPC contractors, refinery operators, petrochemical companies, and industrial customers across the Middle East. Support business development by identifying new opportunities, participating in tenders, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and assisting with contract negotiations. Manage contract execution, variation orders, claims, extensions of time, and commercial matters while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Identify and mitigate operational, commercial, financial, technical, and HSE risks to ensure successful project delivery. Promote a strong Zero Harm culture by ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements, and local HSE regulations across all project sites. Monitor project KPIs, manpower productivity, equipment utilization, project progress, and operational performance, implementing continuous improvement initiatives where required. Ensure the availability, maintenance, certification, and optimal utilization of catalyst handling equipment, specialized tools, and operational assets. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, HSEQ, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and Project teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently. Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen, Technicians, and operational personnel through coaching, performance management, and succession planning. Prepare and present operational, financial, manpower, HSE, and business performance reports to senior management. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. PMP Certification or equivalent Project Management qualification is an added advantage. Minimum 10 years of experience managing shutdown, turnaround, maintenance, and catalyst handling projects within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, or Industrial Services sectors. Proven experience leading large-scale maintenance or turnaround projects with 100–200+ personnel. Strong technical expertise in Catalyst Handling, Mechanical Maintenance, Reactor Services, Tower Internals, Vessel Entry, Heat Exchanger Maintenance, and Specialized Industrial Services. Demonstrated experience in project planning, estimation, budgeting, cost control, resource management, and contract administration. Proficiency in project management and planning tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent. Strong commercial acumen with experience in tendering, proposal preparation, client relationship management, and business development. Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Thorough understanding of international HSE standards, quality management systems, and industry best practices. GCC or international experience within major oil & gas operators, EPC contractors, refineries, petrochemical plants, LNG facilities, or industrial service companies is highly preferred.
