Procurement And Contracts Engineer

MAJOR FUNCTIONS Supports the effective execution of procurement and contracting activities to ensure timely sourcing of goods and services in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and governance requirements. Contributes to supplier development, tendering, contract administration, cost optimization, and stakeholder engagement while safeguarding Company interests and maximizing value. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Execute end-to-end procurement and contracting activities for goods and services, including sourcing, tendering, bid evaluations, negotiations, contract award, administration, and contract close-out in accordance with Company procedures. Develop and implement sourcing, tendering, and contracting strategies that ensure operational continuity, maximize commercial value, mitigate risks, and support business objectives. Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, ITTs, commercial evaluations, award recommendations, and approval documentation in compliance with delegated authority and governance requirements. Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HSE and other user departments to review scopes of work, technical specifications, evaluation criteria, and procurement strategies. Conduct commercial evaluations, market assessments, and negotiations to achieve optimum value, competitive pricing, and favourable contractual outcomes. Administer awarded contracts and purchase orders, including monitoring supplier and contractor performance, deliverables, KPIs, and contractual obligations. Manage contract amendments, variations, extensions, claims, and change orders, ensuring appropriate commercial evaluation, documentation, and approvals. Support critical operational requirements, including maintenance activities, shutdowns, projects, production operations, and emergency procurement requirements to ensure uninterrupted business operations. Identify and deliver cost optimization, value engineering, process efficiency, and savings opportunities while maintaining quality, safety, and operational requirements. Support supplier prequalification, vendor development, performance evaluation, and contractor relationship management to build a robust and reliable supply base. Ensure HSE, technical, quality, commercial, legal, and regulatory requirements are appropriately incorporated into procurement and contract documentation. Maintain procurement and contract records, trackers, databases, reports, and audit-ready documentation, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance. Prepare periodic procurement and contracts performance reports, including tender status, contract utilization, savings realization, supplier performance, and procurement KPIs. Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and governance initiatives, ensuring procurement and contracting activities are fully traceable and compliant. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, and service providers to support successful contract execution and business objectives. Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement and contract management processes, systems, and digital initiatives, promoting operational excellence and best practices. Maintain and enhance professional knowledge of procurement, contract management, supply chain practices, market conditions, and industry developments relevant to the Oil & Gas sector.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, Business administration or related field. 8-10 years of progressive experience in Procurement and Contracts, preferably within an international Oil & Gas Operator. Employment Type Full-time
