Powder Coating Supervisor

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Oversee daily operations in the powder coating department, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards. Monitor and maintain equipment, performing routine inspections and coordinating repairs to prevent production downtime. Train and mentor team members on powder coating techniques, safety protocols, and best practices to enhance overall performance. Conduct quality control checks on coated products, identifying defects and implementing corrective actions as needed. Develop and enforce safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with industry regulations to create a safe working environment. Collaborate with other departments, such as production and logistics, to optimize workflow and meet customer deadlines. Manage inventory levels of powder coating materials, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely availability of resources. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste in the coating process. Prepare detailed reports on production metrics, quality issues, and team performance for senior management review. Lead team meetings to discuss objectives, address challenges, and foster a positive team culture focused on excellence. Desired Candidate Profile Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of identifying and resolving production issues effectively. Familiarity with color matching and coatings chemistry to ensure high-quality finishes on all products. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey instructions and feedback to team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials or operate machinery safely, ensuring a hands-on approach to supervision.
