PLANNING ENGINEER - Roads & Utilities

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The candidate should have Dubai projects experience. Project Planning & Scheduling Prepare baseline programs using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project. Develop detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) and project schedules. Establish project milestones, critical paths, and key performance indicators. Prepare look-ahead programs (2-week, 4-week, and monthly). Develop recovery and acceleration programs when required Progress Monitoring & Control Monitor actual project progress against approved baseline schedules. Update project schedules on a weekly and monthly basis. Identify delays, risks, and critical activities affecting project completion. Analyze schedule variances and recommend corrective actions. Track productivity and resource utilization. Reporting Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports. Generate S-curves, histograms, dashboards, and earned value reports. Present planning updates to project management and clients. Prepare executive summaries highlighting key project issues and mitigation measures. Resource Planning Develop manpower, equipment, and material resource plans. Monitor resource deployment and productivity performance Coordinate with construction, procurement, and plant departments to ensure resource availability. Contract & Claims Support Assist in preparing Extension of Time (EOT) claims. Perform delay analysis using industry-standard methodologies. Maintain records supporting contractual claims and variations. Review client and consultant comments on programs and claims. Desired Candidate Profile 5–10 years of planning experience in road and infrastructure projects. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the UAE/GCC. Experience with projects involving roads, utilities, drainage, and traffic diversions.
