What's the role? The role is based in Dubai, UAE and official job title would be Finance Manager - Transaction Accounting. This position is responsible for leading and overseeing all transactional accounting activities across the organization, ensuring the accurate, complete, and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with IFRS, company policies, and internal control requirements. The role manages key accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, treasury accounting, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations, while supporting month-end and year-end close processes. Key responsibilities include: Transaction Accounting Management Lead and oversee day-to-day transactional accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank and cash transactions, Intercompany transactions and reconciliations, Employee expense accounting, Fixed asset accounting support. Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with IFRS and company policies. Financial Close & Reporting Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes related to transactional accounting. Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Ensure timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of outstanding items. Support statutory audits and provide required documentation to internal and external auditors. Controls & Compliance Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial transactions. Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements, accounting standards, and regulatory obligations. Monitor adherence to approval matrices, delegation of authority, and financial policies. Treasury & Cash Management Support Oversee banking transactions and cash-related accounting activities. Support cash flow reporting and treasury operations. Monitor and reconcile bank accounts across group entities. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and increase automation. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls. Support ERP enhancements, system implementations, and finance transformation projects. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification preferred (CPA, ACCA, ACA, CMA, or equivalent). Minimum 8 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Experience within multinational organizations, offshore services, energy, oil & gas, marine, engineering, or project-based industries is preferred. Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial control frameworks. Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
