Lab Technician

Location: Sugar Land, TX

Pay: $26-$27/hour, depending on experience

Are you looking to grow your career in a laboratory and manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Lab Technician to support the production of gas chromatography (GC) columns used in industrial and scientific applications. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering hands-on experience with laboratory processes, quality control, chemical handling, and production operations.

What You'll Do

Produce and prepare gas chromatography columns in a high-volume laboratory manufacturing setting.

Perform column conditioning, flow measurements, basic wet chemistry tasks, and chemical handling procedures.

Operate equipment such as pressure gauges, flow meters, hand tools, and power tools.

Collect, record, and maintain accurate production and quality data.

Monitor inventory levels and assist with supply replenishment activities.

Identify quality concerns, support process improvements, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and production schedules to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

High school diploma required.

Coursework in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related technical fields preferred.

Experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, production, or industrial environment preferred.

Gas Chromatography experience is a plus but not required.

Basic Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn new software applications.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow technical procedures.

Knowledge of chemistry fundamentals, material handling, flow measurement, or pressure systems is highly desirable.
