IT Support Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Hardware & Data Center Setup: Handle physical rack mounting, rack exchange, cabling, server installation, and hardware component replacements. Network & Infrastructure Support: Assist with the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of network devices, switches, routers, and IT network infrastructure. Diagnostics & Maintenance: Perform initial hardware diagnostics, cable tracing, labeling, and signal testing to ensure optimal operating conditions. Vendor & Project Coordination: Work alongside on-site technical teams and remote engineers to execute deployment plans according to project specifications. Documentation: Keep detailed logs of rack layouts, asset tagging, maintenance activities, and completed installations. Desired Candidate Profile Technical Expertise: Proven experience in Data Center Installation, Server Installation, and Rack Exchange/Mounting. Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT Networks, Computer Networking fundamentals, and basic Network Support. Experience Level: Mid-career (3+ years of relevant hands-on IT support or data center experience preferred). Work Availability: Must be based in or able to work on-site in Muscat, Oman for the project duration. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
