HVAC Site Engineer (Data Center Construction)

Supervise and execute HVAC works as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project schedule. Manage installation of AHUs, FCUs, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, ducting, piping, valves and associated equipment. Review IFC/shop drawings and coordinate with Civil, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, ELV and BIM teams to resolve clashes and interfaces. Monitor HVAC subcontractors, manpower, materials, productivity and daily progress. Ensure proper installation of ducting, chilled-water piping, insulation, supports, equipment and associated services. Coordinate pressure testing, flushing, duct leakage testing, TAB and testing & commissioning activities. Ensure compliance with approved method statements, ITPs, QA/QC and HSE requirements. Raise/close WIR/IR, NCRs, punch points and inspection observations. Support HVAC pre-commissioning, commissioning and integrated testing, particularly for critical Data Center systems. Maintain progress reports, testing records, as-built drawings and handover documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

Diploma/B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering / HVAC / relevant discipline. 6–10 years of relevant HVAC site execution experience. Data Center / Mission Critical / Large EPC project experience preferred. Strong knowledge of HVAC installation, chilled-water systems, ventilation and critical cooling systems. Experience with CRAH/CRAC units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps and associated controls preferred. Good understanding of ASHRAE standards, project specifications and applicable codes. Ability to read IFC, shop and MEP coordination drawings. Experience in subcontractor and site execution management. Proficiency in AutoCAD; BIM/Navisworks/Revit knowledge is an advantage.
