Group Tax Manager

Develop and implement the Group’s overall tax strategy in line with business objectives and applicable tax laws. Provide strategic tax advice on business expansion, new markets, investments, restructuring, acquisitions, and cross-border transactions. Identify opportunities for legitimate tax optimisation while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Monitor changes in international and local tax legislation and assess their impact on the Group. Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance across the Group’s global operations. Ensure timely and accurate filing of corporate income tax, withholding tax, VAT/GST, transfer pricing and other applicable tax returns. Establish appropriate tax compliance calendars and controls across countries. Review tax computations, provisions, reconciliations and tax-related disclosures. Lead the Group’s transfer pricing framework and ensure compliance with local and international requirements. Review intercompany transactions, agreements and pricing arrangements. Coordinate preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation and country-specific filings. Advise on cross-border transactions, withholding tax implications, permanent establishment risks and tax treaty matters. Work with external tax advisors on complex international tax matters. Partner with business and Finance teams to evaluate tax implications of commercial transactions and new business initiatives. Review contracts and transaction structures from a tax perspective. Advise on tax-efficient structuring of trading, supply chain, financing and intercompany arrangements. Support management in assessing tax implications of entering new countries or establishing new entities. Lead and coordinate tax audits, assessments, investigations and queries raised by tax authorities. Manage tax disputes and work with external advisors and legal counsel where required. Identify key tax risks across jurisdictions and implement appropriate mitigation measures. Develop and maintain tax governance, controls and documentation standards. Oversee the Group’s tax provisioning and effective tax rate analysis. Review current and deferred tax calculations in coordination with the Group Finance team. Ensure accurate tax reporting for Group consolidation and financial reporting purposes. Analyse tax exposures, uncertain tax positions and potential liabilities. Act as the primary tax contact for senior management and Group Finance. Manage relationships with tax authorities, auditors, consultants and external tax advisors. Coordinate tax matters across country Finance teams and ensure consistent Group-wide practices. Provide regular updates to senior management on tax exposures, opportunities and regulatory developments.

Desired Candidate Profile

Professional qualification such as CA / ACCA / CPA / CTA is mandatory. Significant exposure to international/group tax. Strong experience in corporate taxation, VAT/GST, withholding tax and transfer pricing. Experience managing tax matters across multiple countries and jurisdictions. Strong understanding of international tax principles and cross-border transactions. Experience in a multinational Agro commodities trading/ manufacturing is mandatory. Strong analytical, problem-solving and commercial skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management capabilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple jurisdictions and priorities. Employment Type Full-time
