Electrical Technician

Check, service, repair and maintain all TWMA equipment. Inspect and assess the electrical and associated systems to determine the requirements for refurbishment, replacement, or repair. Repair or replace defective and/or worn parts and components. Apply CompeX/IECeX derived inspection principles to assess the use of ATEX certified equipment. Attend daily workshop or site briefings. Generate accurate Engineer Inspection reports of assets and equipment. Log and report information in the maintenance job sheets. Provide technical advice and assistance to all departments: Liaise with Engineering Department to obtain information to assist in the build of new equipment. Liaise with other departments to promote suitable improvements to the process, assets, and equipment. Instruct site based operational staff on the correct use and operation of an asset. Source information from third party representatives as necessary. HSEQ: ensure maintenance requirements are fully understood by: Follow all TWMA and HSEQ procedures. Address any concerns and take appropriate actions in conjunction with TWMA procedures. Attending monthly safety meetings with HSEQ personnel. Out of Hours Maintenance/Process Support Assistance: Provide back-up assistance to other TWMA personnel by mobile phone as required. Offshore/Oversees Process Support – supporting offshore operations: Travelling offshore to check, service & repair equipment as required. Be prepared to undertake medicals, vaccinations and training as required for offshore travel. Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications / Training (E – Essential / P – Preferred): National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in related field or secondary qualification with equivalent trade experience of at least 3 years if relevant qualification is not available (E). Diploma or bachelor’s degree in relevant Electrical and Electronics Engineering (P) Basic Offshore Survival Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET) (P) or ability to obtain certification if required to travel offshore. Valid COMPEX or IECEx Certification, or Working knowledge in ATEX & EX standard, or ability to obtain certification within 2 years from assuming the job role (E) C&G 2392, Inspection & Testing (P Experience(s) (E – Essential / P – Preferred): Minimum 5 years work experience in a similar role within relevant field (E) Working experience within the oil & gas or energy industries (P) Inspection of machine electrical systems, Fault Finding / Testing and Repairs (E) Work with Electrical Schematic and wiring Diagrams (E) Carry out maintenance routines (E) Carry out installations (E) Repair breakdowns (E) Working with process equipment / heavy plant machinery (P) Working / inspecting Hazardous Area Equipment (P) Knowledge / Skills / Competencies (E – Essential / P – Preferred): Good interpersonal and communication skills in English (Written and Verbal) (E) Basic knowledge in MS office tools especially MS word and MS Excel (E) Ability to work to a high standard at all times (E) Ability to follow Operations and Maintenance Instructions (E) Adaptable, flexible, and positive attitude towards change (E) Good team player with the ability to work on own initiative (E) Ability to work well with diverse culture and staff at all levels (E) Keen attention to detail and ability to present information effectively in a precise and appropriate format.
