Civil QAQC Engineer

Develop and implement QA/QC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and checklists. Inspect civil works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards. Conduct inspections for concrete, structural works, earthworks, roads, drainage, utilities, asphalt, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works. Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site engineers for inspections and approvals. Review material submittals, material certificates, test reports, and technical documents. Raise and close Inspection Requests (IRs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and Corrective Action Reports (CARs). Monitor laboratory and field testing, including soil compaction, concrete cube tests, asphalt tests, density tests, and other required tests. Verify that construction activities are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications. Maintain QA/QC records, inspection reports, test results, material approvals, and quality documentation. Conduct site quality audits and inspections and identify defects or deviations. Monitor subcontractors' work and ensure compliance with project quality requirements. Participate in pre-inspections, consultant inspections, and final inspections. Ensure proper implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. Assist in preparation of Method Statements, ITPs, Quality Plans, and handover documentation. Coordinate with construction teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence. Support snagging, de-snagging, testing & commissioning, and project handover activities. Ensure compliance with relevant ASTM, BS, ACI, ISO, and local authority/client standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering. Typically 5–10 years of QA/QC experience in civil construction. Experience in building and/or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, Method Statements, NCRs and inspection processes. Infrastructure experience in roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks and asphalt is highly desirable. Building experience in concrete, structural works, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing and finishing is desirable. Knowledge of UAE/GCC construction standards and authority requirements is an advantage. Relevant certifications such as ISO 9001/QMS, QA/QC training or equivalent are advantageous.
