Application Discovery Analyst

Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is looking for an Application Discovery Analyst to support enterprise modernization, application rationalization, and Zero Trust/ICAM initiatives to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This role is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and documenting applications, dependencies, and system integrations across complex on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct application discovery and inventory across enterprise environments.

Analyze application architectures, dependencies, authentication methods, and data flows.

Collaborate with application owners, engineers, and system administrators to gather technical requirements.

Document integrations, access patterns, and migration or security-related risks.

Maintain accurate records in CMDB and application portfolio management tools.

Develop discovery reports, dependency matrices, and executive-level summaries.

Required Qualifications

An active Secret or higher-level Government Security Clearance.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent experience.

6+ years of experience in application discovery, systems analysis, application rationalization, or cloud migration efforts.

Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Desired Technical Experience

Enterprise application architectures, databases, and network protocols.

ServiceNow CMDB, BMC Helix, Device42, or similar discovery tools.

Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), ICAM, and FedRAMP environments.

AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and hybrid cloud platforms.

PowerShell, Python, Bash, or SQL.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
