Accountant (receiving)

Maintain accurate financial records and manage a portfolio of client accounts Conduct thorough financial statement audits, identifying risk areas and improvement opportunities Analyse internal controls, audit processes, and financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance Prepare and file VAT returns in line with UAE regulations Design and execute audit work plans, particularly for high-risk areas such as gold loan operations Audit financial transactions, shipments, and operational activities Prepare comprehensive audit reports with clear findings and actionable recommendations Present audit results to senior management and clients with clarity and professionalism Monitor regulatory updates and ensure full compliance with internal policies and external laws Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and risk mitigation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize audit procedures and methodologies Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring open communication and understanding of client needs Remain up to date and knowledgeable about international compliance policies, tax laws, and audit standards

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial management In-depth knowledge of UAE and international tax laws, accounting standards, and compliance regulations Prior experience auditing precious metals or high-risk financial operations is a strong advantage Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and meet tight deadlines Proficiency in speaking and writing in French is a plus Willingness to relocate to West Africa Employment Type Full-time
