Technical Superintendent

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The Technical Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Malé, responsible for the technical management and operational readiness of vessels and related marine assets. This role involves planning and supervising maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking, while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and maritime regulations. The Technical Superintendent will conduct regular inspections, review technical reports, and coordinate with ship crews, suppliers, and service providers to resolve technical issues promptly. The role includes monitoring vessel performance, optimizing technical operations, managing technical documentation, and supporting incident investigations and corrective actions. Collaboration with internal stakeholders to align technical operations with company standards and fuel distribution requirements is also a key part of the day-to-day work. Desired Candidate Profile Strong background in Ship Management and Maritime operations, with proven experience overseeing vessel technical performance. Practical experience in Marine Engineering, including maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and repair of marine machinery and systems. Hands-on experience in vessel Inspection activities, including safety, regulatory, and class inspections, and audit preparation. Operational familiarity with Sailing and vessel handling, enabling effective communication and coordination with shipboard teams. Relevant technical or engineering degree or equivalent professional maritime qualification. Knowledge of international maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements. Experience working with fuel supply or tanker operations is an advantage.
