SUPPLY CHAIN HVAC - IMPORT & EXPORT MANAGER

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Oversee the end-to-end import and export processes for HVAC components and finished goods, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customs procedures. Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for HVAC equipment and parts, identifying reliable global suppliers and negotiating favorable terms to optimize cost and quality. Manage international logistics and transportation providers, selecting the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods (air, sea, land) for timely delivery. Maintain strong relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to facilitate smooth cross-border movement of goods. Mitigate supply chain risks by identifying potential disruptions (e.g., geopolitical issues, natural disasters) and developing contingency plans for HVAC inventory. Optimize inventory levels for imported and exported HVAC products, balancing stock availability with carrying costs and demand fluctuations. Ensure all import/export documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time to avoid delays and penalties. Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, sales, engineering) to forecast demand, manage lead times, and align supply chain activities with business objectives. Implement and leverage supply chain technologies and software for tracking shipments, managing documentation, and analyzing performance data. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the import/export function, seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels for HVAC products. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with a significant focus on HVAC import and export operations. Proven expertise in international trade compliance, Incoterms, customs regulations, and documentation management. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with global suppliers and logistics providers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex import/export challenges. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaunt effectively across diverse cultures and departments. Familiarity with HVAC industry standards, product specifications, and market dynamics.
