Streaming Platform Engineer

Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient video streaming infrastructure, ensuring high availability and low latency for global audiences. Develop and optimize real-time video processing pipelines, including encoding, transcoding, and packaging for various devices and network conditions. Implement and manage content delivery networks (CDNs) and edge caching strategies to deliver seamless playback experiences worldwide. Automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling of streaming services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

Candidate should have 4 to 5 years of experience in the relevant field. At least 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience managing the Confluent platform is expected. Experience with Flink installation is preferred, with approximately 1 year of exposure considered sufficient. Must-Have Skills Strong experience with Confluent Kafka Platform administration. Experience in: Platform installation Platform upgrades Production support and troubleshooting Managing platform components Understanding of Kafka ecosystem components and platform operations. Good knowledge of Ansible. Familiarity with Bash and Python as part of platform administration activities. Ability to understand and support connectors, central pipelines, and related platform functionality. Nice-to-Have Skills Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud environments.
