Stores Supervisor

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Supervise daily store and warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, and issuing materials. Ensure all incoming goods are checked against purchase orders, delivery notes, and required specifications. Maintain proper storage, labeling, identification, and organization of stock. Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability. Conduct regular stock counts and physical inventory checks. Investigate and report stock discrepancies, damages, shortages, and excess inventory. Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP/system and ensure timely updates. Prepare and process material requisitions, goods received notes, stock transfer notes, and issue vouchers as required. Ensure materials are issued only against authorized requests. Coordinate with Procurement, Operations, Finance, and other departments regarding stock requirements and deliveries. Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, damaged, and expired stock and report accordingly. Ensure proper FIFO/FEFO practices where applicable. Supervise and allocate tasks to storekeepers, warehouse assistants, and other store personnel. Ensure employees follow company procedures, housekeeping standards, and health and safety requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storage area. Ensure proper handling and storage of fragile, hazardous, temperature-sensitive, or high-value materials where applicable. Support internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory records and documentation. Prepare periodic inventory and operational reports for management. Identify opportunities to improve store efficiency, inventory accuracy, and cost control. Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Desired Candidate Profile Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in stores, warehouse, inventory, or logistics operations. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Good knowledge of inventory control and warehouse procedures. Experience using ERP, inventory management, or warehouse management systems. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to supervise and motivate a team. Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
