Job Title: Software Engineer (HIL/SIL) Pay Rate: Up to $ 56.38 /hr. (DOE) Location: Berkeley, CA Zip Code: 94702 A Software Engineer (HIL/SIL) job opportunity is open with our client in Berkeley, Ca. In this role you will develop dashboards that enable their partners to track the progress of test case execution. To be considered for this role you will have a Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. You will have 1 + year in Software or firmware engineering. Job Duties * Support the development of their Hardware-in -the- Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the Loop (SIL) testing ecosystems, and to lead development of their verification metrics tooling. * Build new HIL and SIL testbeds, collaborating closely with our Test Infra, Electrical Engineering, Firmware and Software teams. * Build HIL and SIL software platforms for stress-testing multiple electrical boards within the next generation of Battery Management Systems * Develop Intuitive user interfaces that enable partner teams to interact with platforms and understand testing progress * Write robust device drivers to ensure precise hardware control and communication within the HIL Systems * Troubleshoot electrical and software systems, utilizing schematics and test equipment Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Education * Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent * 1 + years in software or firmware engineering * Familiarity with electrical engineering foundations, including the ability to read electrical schematics, debug physical hardware, and work comfortably with the low-level device drivers * Familiarity working with embedded communication protocols, such as CAN, SPI and UART Belcan is an equal opportunity employer.
