Software Developer - Onsite

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Developer - Onsite for a position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for developing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business goals. The ideal candidate will code solutions, perform unit tests, and ensure successful integration into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces, while adhering to the development and testing practices of our client.

Responsibilities

Contribute to story refinement and defining requirements

Participate and guide the team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle

Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas

Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements

Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in the design and development of client requirements

Assist the team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work

Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause

Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality

Participate, contribute, and coach team members in delivery/release (CI-CD) events (e.g., branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes)

Requirements

Experience with Core Java and JavaScript

Demonstrated ability to design and develop significant components within an application and perform code reviews

Proficient in designing, developing, and executing test cases with knowledge of Test Automation and tools

Ability to perform or support continuous integration and deployment activities within a DevOps culture

Understanding of application and data architecture standards

Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and associated toolsets

Working knowledge of Agile/Waterfall frameworks

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Ability to collaborate effectively within a team

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
