Social Welfare Coordinator

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The Social Welfare Coordinator is responsible for conducting comprehensive social case studies and assessments for beneficiaries seeking assistance from the Foundation. The role involves direct communication with applicants and their families, collecting and verifying social information, evaluating living conditions and financial circumstances, and preparing professional recommendations to support fair, transparent, and impactful charitable decision-making. The position plays a vital role in ensuring that assistance reaches those most in need while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, compassion, integrity, and professionalism. Roles & Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive social and financial assessments of individuals and families applying for assistance. Interview beneficiaries and relevant parties, and conduct field/home visits to verify information and assess living conditions. Serve as the main point of contact for beneficiaries, providing professional, empathetic, and culturally sensitive support. Explain eligibility criteria, required documentation, and Foundation procedures, and follow up on outstanding information. Prepare social assessment reports, case summaries, and recommendations for review and decision-making. Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential beneficiary records and case files. Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to obtain and verify relevant case information. Participate in case review meetings and provide professional recommendations on support and priorities. Support charitable initiatives and emergency assistance programmes as required. Ensure compliance with Foundation policies, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements while maintaining fairness, transparency, objectivity, and beneficiary dignity. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Social Sciences, Human Services, or a related field. 3–5 years of relevant experience in social work, social research, case management, community services, or charitable organizations. Proven experience in social assessments and beneficiary interviews is highly preferred. Experience in nonprofit, humanitarian, or charitable organizations/foundations is an advantage.
