Senior Technical Accountant

Mark Williams are currently recruiting for a Senior Technical Accounting Specialist for a leading entity based in Abu Dubai. You will be working in a small team and report into the Finance Director Key Responsibilities Provide support on a range of technical accounting engagements, including acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, business combinations and other complex corporate transactions Support the preparation and review of financial statements and associated disclosures, ensuring compliance with IFRS and relevant regulatory standards Undertake accounting research and evaluate complex technical matters to help develop clear recommendations for senior finance stakeholders Develop detailed accounting papers, technical assessments and supporting documentation for review and approval by senior members of the team Help the business with new IFRS requirements and contribute to updates and enhancements to accounting policies and procedures Identify opportunities to strengthen finance processes, controls and reporting practices across the organisation and its subsidiaries Work closely with internal finance stakeholders and external auditors to address technical accounting matters, clarify treatments and resolve reporting queries Building financial models and undertaking scenario, sensitivity and impact analysis to assess the financial implications of proposed transactions and business decisions Monitor changes to IFRS, regulatory requirements and emerging accounting practices Maintain a strong understanding of technical accounting developments

Desired Candidate Profile

Key Requirements Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA Worked in a similar role previously Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills Understand M&A accounting, financial reporting, consolidation and detailed transactions Worked in a top 10 practice
