Description

SAIC is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for a position located in San Diego, CA. This position needs to be highly experienced in JavaScript, React, Linux (RHEL), and has a strong background in Web Experience. This role requires you to have an ACTIVE SECRET clearance to start.

*This will be an ON-SITE role with expected travel up to 10% throughout the year.*

JOB DUTIES

The candidate shall perform software engineering design and development activities to produce reliable, modular, and secure software components.

The work will include development of software on a RHEL OS platform.

This will include software development with custom C++ based applications, X windows-based applications, and web-based middleware.

Development will consist of application writing and policy for security accreditations.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7). Additional years experience accepted in lieu of a degree.

Must have an Active Secret Clearance.

Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance after start.

Must have Solid Linux (RHEL) familiarity

Must have strong background in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, React, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular, jQuery and LESS.

Strong Web experience

Industry experience designing, building, and maintaining large scale systems in production.

Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux.

Familiarity with DBMS technology, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL.

Basic design ability: Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design.

Excellent understanding of low-level operating systems concepts including multi-threading, memory management, networking and storage, performance, and scale.

Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it.

DESIRED SKILLS

Experience with C++

Strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
