Senior QC Engineer (Software Testing)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The Senior Quality Control Engineer will ensure that products are designed, built, and produced in accordance with customer specifications and quality requirements. This position is typically offered full time and reports to QA Lead. Those well-suited to this career enjoy problem-solving and working collaboratively with others. Responsibilities Perform Tests : perform a variety of tests, such as, smoke, regression, integration, and performance, cross browser, cross platform and responsive testing (PC, mobile and tablet), API testing, and any needed test per the test plan to confirm the stability of software systems. Report Bugs : report clear bugs and track them using tools like DevOps. Perform Automation : generate automation scripts. They research and use tools with the goal of increasing automation. Work with Team Members : work collaboratively with QC, development, and business groups to complete testing. Design Test Case : Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases, and review test case written by joiners or mid-level Send test results report, after confirming it with QA lead. Documentation : Building project documentation such as user Manuals. Participating in full life cycle development. Performing business requirements review and verification. Problem Solving. Static testing Conduct UAT Performance testing Mentors and trains junior quality control engineers on policies and procedures and create tasks for them Identifies the root cause of quality problems, and coordinates modifications or other corrective actions. Performs other duties as assigned. Architecting new automated test strategies and frameworks, in addition to creating, implementing and automating testing in support of software test requirements. develop, maintain, and enhance the test automation framework and automation infrastructure execute and report on planned tests, report and manage defects, regress software fixes for new and existing products Assist development with replicating and debugging problems and develop new test automation solutions as needed. demonstrates innovation, leadership, and mentorship skills in addition to possessing a strong technical and programming/test automation skill set. May assist with performance evaluations. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor s degree in engineering, science or information technology, or equivalent education and work experience. Professional certification, such as ISTQB-CTFL ISTQB-CTAL Problem-solving skills - QC testers have strong problem-solving skills that allow them to test software, identify bugs, and solve errors Automation experience - Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium Web Driver. They have experience developing automation scripts Familiarity with testing - QC testers are knowledgeable of testing phases and approaches, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end Programming - QC testers may use programming languages to write tests as necessary, so they should have experience programming and coding Teamwork - working with other groups, QC testers have strong communication skills that allow them to collaborate with others. They communicate problems and coordinate with QC, development, and business groups to ensure products are free of errors Able to multi-task, triage issues, react well to changes, work independently or in a team setting in a fast-paced environment. Ability to travel outside Jordan according to business needs. Excellent command of written and spoken English.
