Senior QA Automation Engineer- API

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient API automation frameworks using languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript. Architect and implement comprehensive API test strategies, including functional, performance, security, and contract testing. Integrate API automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous feedback and rapid deployment cycles. Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to understand feature requirements and translate them into effective test cases. Desired Candidate Profile 6–8+ years of API Automation Testing experience in Banking/FinTech. Strong hands-on experience with Playwright API, Rest Assured, PyTest. Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or Python. Experience validating REST APIs, OAuth2, JWT, JSON Schema Validation. Strong understanding of Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) testing. Strong SQL skills with data transformation and reconciliation experience. Experience with Open Finance/Open Banking, API Gateways, Middleware, Enterprise Integrations. Knowledge of Kafka, MQ, Event Streaming is an advantage. Experience with CI/CD, Git, Docker and Agile. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, Open Banking, or Open Finance. Knowledge of Consent Management, API Security, and financial data sharing. Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP. Familiarity with AI-assisted testing. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
