Senior Project Manager

Deliver projects requiring the creation of large project teams with multiple elements on a cross discipline and/or multi supplier basis. Apply expert understanding of project management concepts, procedures and applications. Ensure reuse and best practice across projects. Plan, manage, and deliver larger and more complex long-term projects delivering strategic benefits to client and/or stakeholders. Evaluate situations using multiple sources of information. Plan and resource solutions, including bespoke adaptations. Manage projects involving significant risk to business and/or external clients. Use and adapt recognized project management methods and processes depending on risk and governance needs. Deliver projects to contracted service levels and within financial targets while maintaining customer satisfaction. Be recognized as key supplier in delivery of client critical or internal medium/long term business benefit. Apply relationship management skills and build client and stakeholder relationships at executive levels. Coach, mentor and line manage Junior Project Managers. Channel resources effectively and develop best delivery practice. Identify change impact on organization, manage stakeholders, risk and engagement to deliver successful project outcomes. Seek innovative ways to expand project business scope and manage cost base.

Desired Candidate Profile

Certifications: CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner, CSM or PMI Agile. Knowledge of project control tools. Experience with Risk Management and Microsoft Project. Familiarity with Schedule Management, Visio, Project Planning tools, Risk Management tools, Mindjet Manager or similar. Industry knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure, BCP and DRP, OS, DB, Cloud transformation projects, Transition projects. Soft skills ensuring dignity of staff/customers, harmonious working relationships, accountability for equality practice. Active participation in learning programs related to equality issues. Compliance with Data Protection Act and related legislation. Support of Quality Standards and adherence to policy and statutory requirements.
