Senior Planning Engineer / Planning Engineer

Responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling comprehensive project schedules from commencement through final handover. This role focuses on project controls, scheduling logic, critical path and delay analysis, and interface management to support successful project execution, with a strong emphasis on high-end interior fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
• Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and activity networks
• Monitor project progress and analyze schedule performance
• Perform critical path and near-critical path analysis
• Conduct delay analysis and support Extension of Time (EOT) claims
• Prepare recovery plans and mitigation strategies
• Coordinate procurement, design, and construction activities
• Generate project reports, dashboards, and progress updates
• Identify schedule risks and recommend corrective actions
• Support stakeholder meetings and communicate programme impacts effectively

Experience

Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline. Senior Planning Engineer: Requires 8+ years of construction planning experience, with a strong preference for interior fit-out projects. Planning Engineer: Requires 5 7 years of construction planning experience, with a strong preference for interior fit-out projects. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Power BI. Strong understanding of scheduling logic, project controls, and delay analysis. Experience in interior fit-out projects preferred. Knowledge of EOT claims, recovery planning, and project reporting. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience delivering projects from commencement through final handover. Prior experience in Saudi Arabia is an advantage.
