The Role
We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Network Engineer who brings enthusiasm and expertise to the table. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, security, and support of a complex enterprise network environment, including LAN/WAN, WLAN, data center, security, and SD-WAN technologies. This role ensures network performance, reliability, and scalability while partnering with leadership to develop and deliver effective infrastructure solutions aligned to business needs and industry best practices. What You'll Be Doing
Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
Monitor network performance and integrity.
Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems.
Maintain complete technical documentation.
Suggest improvements to network/server performance, capacity and scalability.
Creating and implementing network security measures.
Implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers.
Create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.
Replacing faulty hardware components when required.
Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
Coordinating computer network access and use.
Perform all core duties of a systems administrator, including but not limited to, ensuring proper network system functionality by maintaining and modifying operating systems, components and upgrading and patching operating systems and application software. Maintain and administer network user accounts and network security systems.
Strictly adhere to and enforce system security policies and standards.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Additional duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree/certificate or equivalent work experience.
7+ years' experience in LAN/WAN/WLAN and network security.
4+ years' experience in Fortinet Security Fabric (switching, routing, firewall and wireless)
Expert knowledge of the following technologies: routing, switching, MPLS, VPN and SDWAN.
Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
Where and When You'll Work
This is a hybrid role based out of our Columbus, IN office.
What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:
Salary - $106,060 - $135,975 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.
Relocation: This role may be eligible for relocation assistance.
