Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Develop, implement, monitor and enhance Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs across the EMX-Business Units by ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening governance controls, executing corrective action plans and leading operational HSE activities including site inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations and training design and delivery in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, EMX QMS and regulatory requirements Strategy, Policies & Procedures Develop structured corrective and preventive action plans to identify systemic HSE risks, compliance gaps and control weaknesses. Lead the implementation and monitoring of HSE governance frameworks across EMX Business Units. Conduct periodic review and update of HSE policies, procedures and standards, ensuring they are communicated and applied across EMX Business Units. Ensure alignment of HSE practices with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, EMX QMS, and regulatory requirements. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and protect the interests and reputation of 7X at all times. Operational HSE Implementation Conduct regular site visits, inspections, workplace observations, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with HSE requirements. Recommend and implement practical preventive and corrective measures to minimize workplace risks. Develop corrective action plans and drive continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives related to health and safety. Participate in regular meetings to report on HSE matters across BUs and ensure agreed action points are completed within defined timelines. Maintain and periodically review BU HSE risk registers, track corrective actions, ensure timely closure of identified issues, and escalate critical risks with clear mitigation plans. Conduct regular audits of Safety Management Plans to ensure compliance, alignment with project requirements, and readiness for external HSE audits and assessments. Lead internal HSE audits at assigned sites and coordinate audit-readiness activities. Provide guidance to departments on the practical implementation of HSE procedures, standards, and controls. Coordinate and support external audits, regulatory inspections, and certification assessments. Performance Monitoring & Analytics Develop and monitor BU-level HSE KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics aligned with industry standards and best practices. Conduct trend analysis of incidents, audit findings, and recurring non-conformities, providing actionable insights to BU leadership. Recommend improvement initiatives based on incident data, audit findings, performance trends, and identified risk areas. HSE Training & Documentation Design and deliver focused HSE induction sessions, training programs, and awareness initiatives for EMX employees. Develop standardized HSE toolkits, checklists, and guidance materials to ensure consistent application across BUs. Prepare and communicate safety updates on key HSE topics, incidents, lessons learned, and policy changes. Promote safety awareness and positive safety behaviors across all BU locations. Maintain and periodically update HSE and process documentation repositories to ensure information is accurate and readily accessible to relevant EMX teams. Coordinate with external consultants for specialized HSE training programs and services. Accident & Incident Investigation / Corrective Actions Record, investigate, and report incidents, accidents, near misses, and recurring non-conformities to senior management, along with recommended corrective and preventive controls. Conduct root cause analysis and clearly document investigation findings and recommendations. Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and closed within agreed timelines. Maintain incident logs, statutory reporting records, investigation findings, and recommendations for review by department leadership. Stakeholder Management Work closely with EMX BU Heads to ensure HSE requirements are effectively controlled, documented, implemented, and maintained in accordance with applicable rules, standards, and guidelines. Liaise with regulatory authorities and other relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with mandatory HSE requirements. Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders on HSE compliance, audits, inspections, and improvement initiatives. Reports & Analysis Prepare monthly HSE performance reports and management insights, highlighting key risks, incident trends, root causes, compliance gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Present relevant HSE performance insights and recommendations to management to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement. Other Responsibilities Perform any other HSE-related responsibilities or tasks assigned by the Line Manager in accordance with business and operational requirements. Desired Candidate Profile Experience: 5-7 years’ HSE experience in logistics or large industrial environments, with proven exposure in formulating, implementing, revising and communicating HSE policies and procedures. Proven experience in audit management, risk governance and performance analytics. • Job Specific Skills (Technical Competencies): HSE inspections & risk assessments Incident investigation & reporting ISO HSE standards application Operational audits & compliance monitoring Ability to understand and apply Six Sigma theories Ability to visualize, design & structure Presentation, Reports and Dashboards. Strong Analytical & Statistical knowledge Organization KPI & Matrices Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook. Communication skills in multiple languages including English, Urdu and Arabic.
