Senior Executive Finance And Accounts
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Handle end-to-end accounting activities for the retail business, including sales accounting, receipts, payments, journal entries, and ledger scrutiny. Monitor daily retail sales reconciliation with POS/system reports and ensure timely accounting of cash, card, online, and other collection modes. Reconcile retail store collections, bank deposits, and merchant settlements, and follow up on any discrepancies. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including provisions, accruals, and preparation of MIS reports. Prepare and maintain schedules for receivables, payables, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other balance sheet items related to retail operations. Coordinate with stores and internal stakeholders to ensure proper documentation, approvals, and compliance with company finance policies. Assist in VAT-related data preparation, audit support, and statutory compliance requirements. Monitor retail inventory accounting, stock adjustments, and related reconciliations in coordination with operations and stores. Support budgeting, cash flow tracking, expense analysis, and management reporting for the retail business. Ensure accuracy of accounting records and compliance with internal controls, company policies, and reporting timelines. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance; professional qualification or part qualification such as CA / CMA / ACCA will be an added advantage. 5–8 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in the retail industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, retail sales accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Hands-on experience in ERP systems such as SAP or any other relevant accounting/finance software. Strong Excel skills with the ability to work on reports, reconciliations, data analysis, and MIS. Experience in handling retail POS reconciliation, store accounting, and multi-location retail transactions will be preferred. Good understanding of VAT compliance and audit documentation. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within deadlines. Indian national preferred with good communication skills in English and Hindi.
