Senior Estimation Engineer

Job Purpose We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Estimator. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil construction projects, including infrastructure, industrial facilities, warehouses, buildings, roads, utilities, hardscape, and marine-related civil works. Experience in the UAE construction industry, particularly with clients such as ADNOC, AD Ports, DMT, and similar organizations, is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil construction tenders. Review and interpret tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, scope of work, and contract conditions. Understand project requirements, client expectations, end user requirements, project location, construction methodology, execution constraints, and commercial obligations prior to pricing. Verify quantity take-offs and prepare comprehensive pricing schedules. Obtain, evaluate, compare, and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure compliance with project specifications. Identify exclusions, qualifications, risks, and cost-saving opportunities during the tendering stage. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and project teams to develop competitive tender submissions. Prepare cost summaries, tender analysis reports, and management review documents. Maintain and update databases for material prices, labour rates, equipment costs, and subcontractor pricing. Support post-tender clarifications, negotiations, and project handover upon award. Ensure tender submissions are completed accurately and within deadlines.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline with obtained equivalency/recognition certificate report from MOHSRE. Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in civil estimation within the UAE or GCC. Proven experience in estimating: Infrastructure projects Industrial facilities Warehouses Commercial and residential buildings Roads and pavement works Utility works (water, sewer, stormwater, duct banks) Hardscape and external works Marine and port-related civil works Knowledge of MEP estimation and coordination will be considered an added advantage. Technical Skills Good working knowledge of CCS Candy with a minimum competency level of 7/10. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Power Query, data analysis, and cost reporting. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents. Strong understanding of supplier quotations, subcontractor pricing, and commercial bid comparisons. Good understanding of construction methodologies, productivity norms, and estimation principles. Strong knowledge of UAE construction market rates, suppliers, subcontractors, and procurement practices. Competencies Strong analytical and numerical skills. Excellent commercial awareness. Preferred Experience Previous experience handling tenders for ADNOC, AD Ports, DMT, Etihad Rail, Modon, Aldar, or other government and semi-government organizations. Familiarity with contract conditions and UAE standard specifications. Experience working in multidisciplinary EPC or construction environments will be an advantage. Employment Type Full-time
