Senior Chief Accountant

Mnzil is building the backbone of workforce housing across Saudi Arabia, and every riyal flowing through the business needs to be accounted for with precision and speed. The Finance team sits at the centre of that accountability keeping the general ledger clean, compliance airtight, and leadership informed with data they can trust. The Chief Accountant owns the day-to-day execution of all core accounting functions from AP/AR and payroll to VAT/Zakat filings and month-end close and is a key partner to the Director of Finance in keeping Mnzil financially sound as the company scales rapidly. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations of the bookkeeping function, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Income Audit, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all transactions. Perform month-end general ledger reconciliation across all balance sheet accounts, identify gaps or variances, and report findings before monthly financial statements are issued. Verify daily bank balances via bank statement review and prepare bank and credit card reconciliations for Director of Finance approval. Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports including P&L statements and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring leadership always has a reliable financial picture. Ensure timely processing of payroll documentation and full compliance with KSA tax obligations including VAT returns and Zakat filings, coordinating with relevant government portals. Coordinate and actively support internal and external audit processes, preparing schedules, responding to queries, and ensuring audit readiness at all times. Supervise, mentor, and develop bookkeeping staff, setting clear expectations, reviewing work quality, and building team capability to support Mnzil's continued growth.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field is required given the licensed and regulated nature of the role. 4 or more years of hands-on accounting experience covering general ledger management, AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting. Solid working knowledge of KSA financial regulations, including VAT and Zakat compliance requirements and submission processes. Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Excel pivot tables, reconciliation models, and financial schedules should be second nature. Practical experience with at least one ERP or accounting system; familiarity with Odoo is a strong advantage given Mnzil's current stack. Strong attention to detail and a track record of owning month-end close processes end-to-end with minimal supervision.
