Senior Associate - Business Sustainability

The opportunity As part of our business sustainability team, you will support EY s sustainability agenda by helping embed environmental, social and governance priorities into how we operate as a firm. This role will work with internal stakeholders across service lines, functions and geographies to coordinate sustainability initiatives, support reporting activities and drive practical actions that contribute to EY s ambition to build a better, more sustainable working world. Your key responsibilities You will help plan, coordinate and track sustainability initiatives across the MENA region, working closely with internal teams to gather data, monitor progress, prepare updates and support stakeholder engagement. The role requires a practical, detail-oriented professional who can translate sustainability priorities into clear actions, reliable reporting and meaningful business impact that help achieve our net zero goals. Skills and attributes for success Strong interest in sustainability, ESG, corporate responsibility and responsible business practices. Ability to coordinate across teams, manage multiple priorities and follow through on actions with accuracy and discipline. Comfort working with data, preparing concise updates and turning information into clear messages for stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships. A proactive, collaborative mindset and the confidence to raise ideas, identify risks and suggest practical improvements. To qualify for the role A Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience relevant to sustainability, such as environmental studies, environmental engineering or other relevant degrees. Experience supporting sustainability, corporate responsibility or ESG through operations, reporting or programme coordination activities. Strong project coordination skills, including planning, tracking actions, managing deadlines and following up with stakeholders. Good analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic. Ideally, you ll also have Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and ESG data collection frameworks in a MENA context. Experience working in a professional services environment or large organisations.
