Senior Accountant

The Accountant – Finance, is accountable for preparing and examining financial records , ensuring that records are accurate and in line with applicable standards and regulations. Core

Responsibilities

• Keep general ledger account books and systems up to date
• Ensure that financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations Gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial data
• Update daily transaction records and assist with payroll administration
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, as well as expenses
• Keep records of invoices and tax payments, as well as reviewing and processing reimbursements
• Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and budgets
• Resolve account discrepancies and perform account reconciliations
• Ensure current knowledge of all regulatory requirements and best practice for financial administration are up to date with contractual, legal and market requirements Accountable for minimizing Errors Detected by External Auditors, on time payments from customers/vendors and minimization of Finance Report Error rate Weekly and Monthly Reporting to Shareholders Educational and Technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field
• Accounting qualification or part-qualification in ACA, CIMA or ACCA is Preferred Language

Skills

• English (fluent spoken and written), Arabic is an asset In depth understanding of Bahraini tax regulations
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
• International Financial Reporting Standards knowledge is a value added
