Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Verify and approve supplier invoices from carriers, port authorities, and transporters
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations for cost control and profitability improvement
• Prepare and review the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensure timely invoicing, collections, and reconciliation
• Supervise bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and daily treasury functions
• Assist in internal and external audit preparations and tax compliance filings
• Implement and maintain effective accounting systems, procedures, and controls
• Partner with operations and sourcing teams to analyze inventory, variances, production costs, and capital expenditures
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Ensure correct revenue booking based on service completion and industry standards
• Manage VAT filings, customs duties, and local labor-related taxes
• Key Skills & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA/CMA is a plus Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a logistics company Deep understanding of logistics terminology and import/export documentation
• High attention to detail and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Expert skills in Microsoft Excel for managing large datasets from multiple shipping sources
• Experience supervising junior staff and coordinating cross-functionally with sales and operations teams

Desired Candidate Profile
