Reporting and Data Lead (Project Controls)

We're looking for an experienced Reporting and Data Lead to join our organization in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This is a strategic leadership position designed for a seasoned professional with 10-15 years of expertise in reporting and data management within the Energy & Natural Resources sector. The ideal candidate will drive data-driven decision-making across our organization, establishing robust reporting frameworks and analytics capabilities. You will be responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights that support business objectives across mining, oil & gas, power, energy, and utilities operations. Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive reporting systems and dashboards that provide real-time visibility into key business metrics and performance indicators Analyze complex datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational optimization Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance across the organization Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions Oversee the implementation and optimization of business intelligence platforms and data management tools Develop and execute data strategy initiatives aligned with organizational goals and industry standards Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards specific to the Energy & Natural Resources sector Present data insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic planning and decision-making Manage data projects from conception through delivery, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies in data analytics and reportingCompany Description

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications 10-15 years of professional experience with 5 year ideally in reporting, data analytics or project controls. Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar programming languages would be advantages Expert-level knowledge of business intelligence platforms (Power BI or equivalent) Strong expertise in data visualization and dashboard development Proficiency in statistical analysis and predictive modeling Solid understanding of data governance, data quality management, and compliance frameworks Experience with relational and non-relational databases Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise data management systems Professional certifications in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields are preferred
