DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Raleigh, NC
- This position is onsite
- Some local travel may be required
Job Description
Our client seeks a contractor to drive the development and implementation of NC Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST) as a Quality Assurance Engineer. We are looking for a self-driven QA Engineer who will take initiative and ownership of testing activities by proactively managing tasks to meet timely deadlines, working independently with minimal supervision, accurately communicating identified issues, and delivering high-quality QA results.
Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements for testability and completeness using Functional Specification Documents, Business Requirements Documents and Technical Design Documents.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, product owners, scrum masters, and other team members to clarify requirements, expectations, and resolve issues.
Take ownership of developing requirements into test conditions, test case scenarios and test scripts, and drive them to competition.
Orchestrate development and execution of automated scripts using Qtest and Tosca to thoroughly test software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive test documentation, defect records, and traceability
Drives quality assurance activities across functional, integration, regression, system, and end to end testing.
Evaluate test cases and other testing artifacts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all test artifacts.
Drive the coordination for testing, reports and tracks testing problems by providing reproducible test cases
Work with other product team members to diagnose and recreate problems as well as prioritize and implement solutions and close problem reports.
Oversee scripting data collection and analysis according to the project plan schedule and ensuring adherence to standard practices and procedures
Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups
Identify and communicate risks with team and provide solutions before issues impact project delivery
Knowledge and Abilities
Ability to lead testing activities and make informed decisions
Maintain the capacity to manage complex work efforts
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication
Exhibits strong critical thinking and sound decision making capabilities
Self-motivated and ability to manage task independently
Takes ownership and accountability of assigned work.
Required Skills
5 Years - Experience testing web, GUI, client/server, and database applications.
5 Years - Experience with requirements analysis and automated test cases/script development.
5 Years - Experience with manual or automated testing, testing tools, writing test plans and reviewing test cases.
5 Years - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5 Years - Good oral and written communication skills in order to interact on a daily basis with system developers, business analysts, and others.
5 Years - Ability to prioritize tasks within the project and work with minimal supervision or guidance.
2 Years - Experience with executing SQL to validate or test.
5 Years - Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
5 Years - Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) development
Desired Skill
Experience and proficiency in using Tricentis tools including qTest and Tosca
Experience with testing Curam products.
Experience testing for a health and human services project.
Experience developing and executing Tosca automation test scripts.
This opportunity is available on a corp to corp basis or as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
